A Word from the Pastor
January, 2026
Dear Church Family Member:
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As we stand at
the threshold of a new year, my heart is filled with joy, gratitude, and thanksgiving for the
sacred opportunity to serve as your pastor and to walk alongside you in this season of
growth, purpose, and promise.
I thank God continually for each of you; your prayers, your faithfulness, your love, and
your commitment to the work of the Kingdom. It is truly an honor to lead such a devoted
and forward-looking congregation, and I do not take this calling lightly. Together, we are
experiencing God’s hand at work among us, preparing us for what lies ahead.
As we look toward 2026, we do so with clarity and confidence, grounded in the Word of
God. Scripture instructs us in Habakkuk 2:2, “Write the vision, and make it plain upon
tables, that he may run that readeth it.” We embrace this divine mandate, believing that
vision is not merely a plan, it is a God-given revelation meant to guide His people with
purpose and direction.
The vision God has placed before us is not mine alone; it is ours. It is a vision birthed in
prayer, shaped by faith, fueled by love, and activated through obedience. It calls us to move
forward with our whole hearts, trusting God completely, serving faithfully, loving
unconditionally, and acting courageously in response to His leading.
As we enter this new year, I am hopeful, encouraged, and confident that God is positioning
Rogers Memorial Baptist Church for greater impact and deeper ministry. I believe that
what God has spoken concerning us will come to pass as we follow Him together in unity,
humility, and expectancy.
Let us commit ourselves anew to prayer, to faithful stewardship, to loving one another, and
to putting our faith into action; always remembering that visions don’t work people do.
The future before us is bright, and the vision ahead is clear. With God as our guide, we
move forward boldly, believing that the best is yet to come.
With love, gratitude, and great expectation,
Rev. Dr. Raymond L. Chandler
Senior Pastor
Rogers Memorial Baptist Church
